Dr. Roto Podcast – Monday, January 14

Dr. Roto recaps the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, including Alshon Jeffery's costly drop that ended the Eagles' season!

Divisional Round Prescription Notes

— I feel bad for Alshon Jeffery after his game-ending drop. I think he will be fueled by this mistake and have a good 2019.

— Mahomes, Brady, Goff, and Brees are the final four QBs playing. Any wonder why their teams are doing so well?

— From the onset of the Colts/Chiefs game, it looked like the Colts were off. Perhaps it was the crowd (or more likely the snow), but the Colts just got off to a bad start and never got into a rhythm on offense. It just goes to show why home-field advantage is critical in the playoffs.

— The Colts are very close to becoming a consistent playoff contender. They are missing another defensive pass rusher up front, a good cover CB, and a top flight WR. Between the draft and free agency, they should be able to improve their roster enough to win big in 2019.

— Damien Williams is absolutely good enough to be the Chiefs RB1 moving forward. He’s a three-down back in the Kareem Hunt mold, and he is a darling of the coaching staff. Adam Gase loved him so much that he benched Kenyan Drake for the longest time so Williams could play. Once Spencer Ware gets back, he will undoubtedly be involved in the offense, but this is no longer a committee — Williams as the starter and Ware is the backup.
