Fantasy Football: Week 10 Injury Report – Kupp Down For Count!

Fantasy Football Expert Bill Enright breaks down how each of this week's injuries affect the NFL landscape!

James Conner, Pittsburgh Steelers (concussion)

Stud running back James Conner left in the 2nd half of the team’s blowout victory of the Carolina Panthers after suffering a concussion. By the time Conner left, the Steelers already had a multi-touchdown lead.

Fantasy Impact: With Conner sideline Stevan Ridley and Jaylen Samuels rotated in the Pittsburgh backfield. It’s already been reported that Conner will play in Week 11.

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams (ACL)

PPR stud Cooper Kupp will miss the remainder of the season after the 2nd year wide receiver tore his ACL during the team’s Week 10 win over the Seahawks. It is the same knee that cost Kupp a few games after he sprained his MCL.

Fantasy Impact: The Rams Offense is good enough to continue to roll without skipping a beat but this is a devastating blow to anyone relying on Kupp as a WR2. QB Jared Goff will maintain his upside QB1 production. Look for WR Josh Reynolds to take over in three wide receiver sets with Kupp now out. Tight End Gerald Everett could also see an uptick in targets.

Marvin Jones, Detroit Lions (Knee)

The Lions top receiver injured his right knee in the 3rd Quarter of the team’s Week 10 loss to the Bears. Jones was hit (illegally) and immediately was tended to by trainers and did not return to action.

Fantasy Impact: The Lions traded Golden Tate leaving QB Matt Stafford with just Jones and Kenny Golladay as his main weapons. If Jones were to miss any action, Stafford would essentially have Golladay as his only viable receiving target which is less than an ideal situation. Stafford’s stock would take a dive if Jones were to miss any action.

Jakeem Grant, Miami Dolphins (Achilles)

Initially it was feared Grant tore his Achilles-typically a year recovery-but apparently that is not the case. Grant was carted off the field and will still likely miss time but the injury won’t end his season.

Fantasy Impact: Except for deep 14 or larger leagues Grant was not much of a fantasy factor, he’s only topped 40 yards once this season.

Martavis Bryant, Oakland Raiders (Knee)

The wide receiver needy Raiders traded Amari Cooper, lost Jordy Nelson to retirement and now will be without Martavis Bryant for the foreseeable future. Oakland’s speedster reportedly tore his PCL during the team’s loss to the Charges in Week 10.

Fantasy Impact: Receiver Brandon LaFell and tight end Jared Cook should dominate targets going forward as the Raiders don’t have many other options in their receiving corps.
