College Football – Sat 9/22 DFS and Betting Plays

This is going to cover the MAIN slates on Saturday 9/22.

Both DraftKings and FanDuel have 10 game slates and there are 8 games that overlap which is a nice sigh of relief for those who wanna play both sites and not have to break down too many games.

QUARTERBACKS

This is a good slate on DraftKings to not force a 10k+ quarterback into your lineup simply because we have some bargain options out there.  I’m not sure how Drew Lock’s price remains sub 8k on DK this week but I will assume it’s due to DK factoring in the matchup against Georgia not being the best.  That said, he has been phenomenal so far this year and will be at home and in a game where Mizzou will have to throw likely to catch-up.  Blough and Brown are good options to gamestack with the SuperFlex position as this Purdue/BC game could wind up being the best game on the DK slate today.

  1. David Blough – Purdue – $7,000
  2. Anthony Brown – BC – $9,200
  3. Drew Lock – MIZZOU – $7,800

FanDuel Value:  Khalil Tate (Arizona), Conor Blount (ORE ST)

RUNNING BACKS

We have Pooka Williams Jr, who is a running back against Baylor (ranked 89th this year, 92nd last year and 87 in 2016) who will see a good volume at only 5700.  That’s almost an auto play this week in all formats to take the value and move on.  He’s obviously not on the FanDuel slate so that’s a site specific play.  A.J. Dillon for BC is the top overall raw points play on both sites at RB this week.  You will want exposure in the BC/Purdue game and he is the main stud to roster on the B.C. side.

  1. Pooka Williams Jr – KU – $5,700
  2. AJ Dillon – BC – $9,000
  3. J.K. Dobbins – OSU – $8,100
  4. John Lovett, – BAY – $5,000
  5. Damien Harris – BAMA – $6,700

FanDuel Value:  Tre Watson (Texas)

WIDE RECEIVERS

Since we are heavy on the Purdue game and expect them to be passing we must lock in the value at $6900 with Rondale Moore this week.

  1. Rondale Moore – PUR – $6,900
  2. David Sills V – WVU – $8,000
  3. Gary Jennings Jr – WVU – $8,800
  4. Jalen Hurd – BAY – $7,600
  5. Jeff Smith – BC – $5,000
  6. Isaiah Zuber – KSU – $5,700
  7. Terren Encalade – TUL – $3,700

FanDuel Value:  Shun Brown (AZ), Timmy Hernandez (ORE ST)

TEAMS/GAMES TO STACK

ARIZONA vs OREGON STATE

The game of the day on FanDuel, but this time we don’t have to worry about Arizona playing a game that feels like 10 am to them.  Arizona and Oregon State face off and the Wildcats will be led by Quarterback Khalil Tate who looks to be the highest owned player on the FanDuel main slate because of his reduced price and the over/under on this game.   Lock up Tate and Jefferson from Oregon State in this game and if you want to go full gamestack I wouldn’t mind Shawn Poindexter who is a guy who can get a couple long touchdowns this week.

  • QB – Tate (AZ)
  • RB – Jefferson (OSU)
  • WR – Poindexter (AZ)
  • QB – Blount (OSU) … Only if Jake Luton is out
  • WR – Hernandez (OSU)

Image result for will grierWEST VIRGINIA vs KANSAS STATE

This is all about the WVU passing game as Will Grier is the top QB-WR-WR stack play every week with his talented receivers David Sills and Gary Jennings.  WVU should be able to score every possession against Kansas State.  The only concern here is if they slow it down once they’re up early.  I doubt they do.  The game is at home and it should be a late September party in Morgantown.   The great thing about this stack is also that we have a VALUE QB on the other side in Skylar Thompson who should get points via rushing as well and at $5,500 on DK this week he is a must own in this game stack.

  • QB – Grier (WVU)
  • WR – Sills (WVU)
  • WR – Jennings (WVU)
  • QB – Thompson (KSU)

BOSTON COLL vs PURDUE

The Purdue defense has been gashed early on, but that’s also meant their offense has benefited.  Sometimes I worry about QB’s coming off HUGE games as is the case with David Blough who threw for 572 yards last week against Mizzou, but mostly because he was forced too do such.  This week we can jump back on Blough and correlate him on the other side with Boston College RB A.J. Dillon.

  • QB – Blough (PUR)
  • RB – Dillon (BC)
  • WR – Moore (PUR)
  • WR – Sparks (PUR)
