PITCHERS
There were four pitchers who stood out above the rest last night as Nick Pivetta (59), Trevor Bauer (55), Jacob deGrom (52) and Trevor Williams (52) all were the four pitchers who put up great performances last night. Of those four Pivetta was the best and he didn’t get the win as the Phillies bullpen blew a 9th inning lead. Given the players pricing one could argue that Williams and Pivetta were the best plays on the board and certainly on DK any combination of the 4 above would have had you in decent running, however Pivetta and Williams stood out above the rest.
Gerrit Cole settled in a little bit after a disastrous start but only managed to put up 33 FD points. He along with Caleb Smith (12) and Jaime Barria (9) are three of the disappointing plays from Monday night.
OFFENSE
The Mets piled up 12 runs in Coors Field as they beat up on a bad Rockies bullpen. Brandon Nimmo, former Rockie fan growing up, lead the way with 50.4 points as he hit both an inside the park homer and an outside the park home run. The Mets also got home runs from Devan Mesoraco and Wilmer Flores, while Michael Conforto had two doubles on his way to a 30 point fanduel night.
Odubel Herrera got things started last night with a 3-run blast to right field as the Phillies jumped on Miles Mikolas. Herrera had been struggling but always seems to play well vs the Cardinals pitching staff.
