Most Surprising Pick of the first TWO rounds: Rob Gronkowksi, New England Patriots
I’m still amazed people take Gronk this early in a draft. One could make the argument that Gronk isn’t even the best tight end in the league anymore.
Pick I hate the most through the first FOUR rounds:Â Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos
Demaryius Thomas at the end of the 3rd round in front of guys like TY Hilton, Amari Cooper, and Josh Gordon is a very short-sighted approach to building a team. Thomas’ upside is severely capped in the Broncos’ offense while Hilton, Cooper, and Gordon all have about the same floor as DT but much more room to greatly exceed expectations.
Pick I love the most through the first FOUR rounds:Â LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills
Three-down RBs are more rare in the NFL than a West African Rhinoceros. Shady McCoy is among the last of a dying breed. He’s not in a committee, doesn’t get patched at the goal-line, stays in on passing downs. For a 3rd round pick, he’s tremendous value.

Favorite team through first THREE rounds:Â Team 2
Love the combo of David Johnson and Mark Ingram plus a wide receiver 1 of Tyreek Hill. Great foundation to build your team.
Favorite team through EIGHT rounds: Team 8
Starting your team with three RBs who have solid floors and high ceilings and then combining them with two PPR studs in Tate and Edelman makes for a great starting lineup. Add in Greg Olsen at TE and then two boom/bust flex options in Jones and Fuller is a recipe for both consistent points with big boom potential.
