PITCHING
Corbin – Better on the road with a 3.00 ERA and .194 average to RHB. He’s also striking out over 30% of batters he faces. Little risky with how well Texas has hit lefties at home. (Risk factor 6)
Happ – he’s pitched well against Tampa this year allowing just a .135 average and a 2.53 ERA. He’s been extremely tough on lefties, and there isn’t a ton of righties who can do damage except for maybe Cron. (Risk factor 5)
Taillon – his k rate is down a little bit on the road, but he has been good so far in August. He pitched extremely well in a tough matchup in Coors Field in his last start and hasn’t allowed a home run in his last 3 road starts.
Fillmyer – he is nasty at home with a 1.71 ERA and a combine .192 average. He doesn’t offer much strikeout upside at just 13% but he’s relatively “safe”. I expect this to be a slow scoring game as well, and Fillmyer to get into the 7th. (Risk factor 5)
Giolito – Don’t watch the game if you roster him, you’ll be panicking all game. But, I think he pitches well in this spot and he has pitched well his last 3 road starts, plus he’ll get the W. (Risk factor 6)
STACKS
WHITE SOX!!!! – The last time I was this high on them they went off in the beginning of the year. They’re due for a huge breakout game and I think it’s this one. Hardy is not good and they’ve been hitting well recently. Davidson – Abreu – Anderson all homer.
Baltimore – Jason Vargas in a small ballpark with some heavy right handed hitters. Beckham – Trumbo – Mancini
Arizona – They let everyone down last night and we may get them at lower ownership. Peralta still hot and so is Goldy.
Padres – They’re starting to heat up, and they’re doing it quietly. Renfroe has turned on the power and Hedges is having a nice 2 weeks run.
Philly – Porcello is a fraud. Lefties here plus my man Rhys hitting a first inning bomb off him.
