FULLTIME FANTASY • WEEK 7 REVIEW

Higgins delivered. The Week 8 decisions start now.

Tee Higgins turned six catches into 148 yards and a touchdown. Below: the biggest wins and misses against our Sunday PPR projections, the injury situations to track, and a game-by-game path into Week 8.

Coverage note: The completed Sunday afternoon games are included here. Chiefs–Seahawks was still in progress when this edition was prepared; Cowboys–Eagles plays Monday. We will not treat those results as final in this recap. Projection comparisons use the FullTime Week 7 PPR rankings snapshot from October 25. Scores below are standard full PPR from the listed receiving line, excluding any other plays.

The lead: Higgins’ 6-148-1 line was worth 26.8 PPR points, nine above our 17.8 projection. Cincinnati’s passing game was the weekend’s clearest reminder that one quiet stretch does not erase a top receiver’s ceiling.

Injuries and byes: the Week 8 board

The most useful move tonight is to build contingency plans, then wait for practice reports before assigning a replacement a full starter’s workload.

  • Aaron Jones (knee): He aggravated the injury and did not return against Indianapolis. Jordan Mason handled work after Jones exited. Monitor Monday’s team update before spending on a Vikings backfield assumption; Minnesota visits Detroit in Week 8.
  • Giants backfield: Tyrone Tracy Jr. left with a hamstring injury. Cam Skattebo also said he felt his hamstring on a long overtime run. The Giants have a Week 8 bye, giving both time to be evaluated; Devin Singletary deserves a roster check in deeper leagues, not an automatic Week 8 start.
  • Jaylin Noel (turf toe): Houston’s receiver injury needs follow-up, though the Texans are off in Week 8. Nico Collins and Woody Marks also leave starting lineups for the bye.
  • Christian McCaffrey (thigh): He returned after getting hurt against Atlanta. San Francisco’s Week 8 bye is helpful, but it is not medical clearance. Keep a close eye on the next official practice report.
  • Also watch: Panthers tackle Taylor Moton’s reported fractured fibula affects the protection and run-game context ahead of Carolina’s short week at Green Bay. Check the FFToolbox injury report and official club reports before locking a lineup.
Week 8 byes: Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. Move McCaffrey, George Kittle, Malik Nabers, Nico Collins, Chris Olave, Alvin Kamara and their teammates out of active slots now. The NFL schedule confirms the byes.

Game by game: what changes for fantasy

Bengals 35, Ravens 13

What worked: Higgins was the headline: 6-148-1 against a 17.8-point projection. Burrow threw four second-half scores and Flowers answered with 8-137-1 for Baltimore.

What to do: Derrick Henry managed only 45 rushing yards on 17 carries. Keep starting the established Bengals pass catchers; Henry remains a touchdown-driven starter, though this was the floor outcome. Baltimore travels to Buffalo next.

Buccaneers 43, Panthers 13

What worked: Bucky Irving carried 24 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns as Tampa Bay controlled the game on the ground.

What to do: Baker Mayfield needed only 11 pass attempts, making his modest passing total a game-script result rather than proof the offense is broken. Carolina faces Green Bay on Thursday, with Moton’s injury a material line concern.

Lions 20, Packers 17

What worked: Jameson Williams turned five catches into 91 yards and two scores; Amon-Ra St. Brown posted 9-153 and cleared our 22.9 PPR projection.

What to do: A competitive division game supported Detroit’s passing core. Gibbs still ran for 116 yards, though a lost fumble capped his day. Minnesota comes to Detroit in Week 8; keep the Lions’ stars in.

Rams 35, Raiders 21

What worked: The Rams spread three Stafford touchdown passes, including two to tight end Davis Allen and one to Puka Nacua. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum combined for 192 rushing yards and two scores.

What to do: The tight end spike was a useful reminder to track role and routes rather than chase two touchdowns blindly. Nacua played through the calf concern; monitor recovery before next week’s Chargers matchup.

Giants 27, Texans 21 (OT)

What worked: Malik Nabers caught seven for 111 in J.J. McCarthy’s first Giants start, while Devin Singletary finished the overtime winner.

What to do: Nico Collins’ two catches for six yards were the most painful miss against our 22.5 projection. Tracy and Skattebo both need hamstring follow-up. Both teams are on bye in Week 8, so roster planning matters more than a one-week replacement start.

Dolphins 28, Jets 25

What worked: Ollie Gordon carried 25 times for 103 yards and a touchdown; Braelon Allen ran for 104 yards on 17 attempts in a surprisingly productive Jets ground game. Malik Willis threw two touchdowns for Miami.

What to do: Garrett Wilson’s 2-26 line badly missed our 19.6 projection. Do not bench him solely for one bad box score, but revisit the Jets’ quarterback and target distribution before Week 8 versus Las Vegas.

Falcons 29, 49ers 20

What worked: Michael Penix Jr. threw three touchdowns, including scores to Drake London and Kyle Pitts.

What to do: Bijan Robinson’s 63 rushing yards did not match his 29.0 PPR projection. This is a hold-and-start talent, not a panic sale. McCaffrey’s thigh bears watching, although the 49ers are off next week. Atlanta visits Tampa Bay.

Vikings 16, Colts 10

What worked: Minnesota’s defense kept Jonathan Taylor and the Colts in check; Jordan Mason handled more work after Aaron Jones exited.

What to do: Justin Jefferson’s 4-44 was 8.4 PPR against a 19.4 projection. Keep starting him. Jones’ knee, not one week of passing production, is the key Vikings development before their Detroit trip.

Steelers 16, Saints 10

What worked: Jaylen Warren surpassed 100 rushing yards and 125 yards from scrimmage, paying off a meaningful role even in a low-total game.

What to do: New Orleans’ rushing attack stalled. Alvin Kamara remained involved as a receiver, but the Saints now have a Week 8 bye. Pittsburgh hosts Cleveland next.

Browns 27, Titans 24

What worked: Quinshon Judkins rushed 17 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns; KC Concepcion produced 129 receiving yards.

What to do: The Titans fought back, but Cleveland’s explosive plays were the fantasy difference. Monitor Judkins’ workload before the Browns visit Pittsburgh, while Tennessee faces Cincinnati.

Broncos 30, Cardinals 16

What worked: Bo Nix added a 62-yard rushing touchdown and connected with RJ Harvey on a 52-yard score. His rushing ceiling made the difference.

What to do: Arizona’s offense did not keep pace, and a lone Denver blowout should not drive wholesale Cardinals drops. Denver hosts Kansas City next in a much tougher fantasy environment.
