WK 3 Circa Survivor Contest: Semi-Mayhem as 3,000+ Eliminated

Favorites once again dominated the NFL landscape in Week 3 of the 2025 season. The matchups, which commenced with a dominant Bills win over the Dolphins on Thursday, saw favorites go 12-4 Straight-up (SU), with only two major upsets impacting the contest.

The 1,817 contestants (10.7%), who backed Jordan Love and the Packers, were left in shock when Cleveland stunned Green Bay 13-10 on a last second field goal by Andrew Szmyt – the longest walk-off in Browns history!

Meanwhile, 1,179 entries made the Falcons the fifth most-chosen selection (7.0%) to beat Carolina on the road. Despite being 5-point road favorites, Atlanta was shutout 30-0.

Circa Survivor, which drew a record-breaking $18,718,000 prize pool this year, does require the need to cover any point spread. However, simply picking the winner has thus far proven elusive for 4,907 contestants who will have to wait til next year.

A total of 3,154 of the entries were prohibited from advancing to Week 4, leaving a grand total of 13,811 with dreams of making a life-changing score.

Overall, favorites in Week 2 finished with a slight 9-7 Against The Spread (ATS) mark. Overall, favorites teams hold a sizable early 34-12 SU (2 pick-ems) & 24-22 ATS (52.1%) edge. Home teams hold a 27-20 SU advantage with 1 neutral-site game (KC-LAC in Brazil), while road teams possess the coveted 24-22 ATS edge. Meanwhile, “Under-Takers” who thrived in Week 1 finishing with 12-4 (75%) mark, have witnessed more overs hitting over the last two weeks, maintaining a 26-22 edge.

The Circa Survivor contest is a grueling contest which forces entrants to pick one winner every week, with no spread with one pivotal caveat. Entrants CAN NOT use the same team more than once during the course of the season. Circa Survivor, which requires a $1,000 entry fee, will once again be a massive sweat for those who run deep into the season due to the massive winner-take-all prize pool.

In an early look-ahead to Week 4 it is expected that: Buffalo (-16.5) vs New Orleans, Detroit (-9) vs Cleveland, Houston (-7) vs Tennessee, Green Bay (-7) at Dallas and Denver (-7) vs Cincinnati – will be among the most heavily chosen teams in the contest.
