Traditionally, Week 12 means a fantastic week filled with family, friends, food, and lots of football.

With a full slate of three Thursday games, plus a pair of loaded rosters from the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs unavailable due to the bye week, the Week 12 waiver wire might be the most important run of the year.

Here are the top free agents to target ahead of Week 12 and how much of your remaining FAAB to use. And Happy Thanksgiving!

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Ty Johnson (RB) New York Jets (15% FAAB) – Before Week 11, when the bottom fell out, Ty Johnson already had standalone value playing nearly 40% of New York’s snaps and averaging nearly four targets per game. Now, with rookie Michael Carter expected to miss multiple weeks with a sprained ankle, Johnson offers RB2 upside for the next several games and should see plenty of passes as well as carries. View Johnson as a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues for the next few weeks and bid accordingly.

Cedrick Wilson (WR) Dallas Cowboys (8% FAAB) – With Amari Cooper (COVID) out and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) looking very unlikely on short rest, Wilson is in-line to be the Cowboy’s No 2 wideout on Thanksgiving and gets an appealing home matchup against a fading Las Vegas secondary that has allowed a league-worst six TD grabs to enemy wideouts over the past five weeks. Wilson will be on the Week 12 WR3 radar and is worth…

Thursday Night Football Preview, Fantasy Tips, DFS & Best Bets

Last week’s Thursday Night Football matchup didn’t exactly go as intended. While an entertaining, high-scoring contest would be a nice change of pace, Week 11’s game doesn’t quite project to be filled with too many fireworks.

The red-hot 6-4 New England Patriots, winners of four straight and 5-of-6 overall, have surged right back into AFC playoff contention, while the 4-5 Falcons look to regroup after a 40-point dismemberment at the hands of the Cowboys in Dallas last Sunday.

This is a rematch from Super Bowl LI, so get ready for lots of 28-3 references. Aside from that, there are plenty of sports betting, fantasy football, and DFS implications at play, so let’s preview the game…

There certainly weren’t a lot of standout performances or points scored in Week 10 but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t options available on the waiver wire.

Even if your roster is stacked, the playoffs are now just one month away. Now is the time to start being proactive and bidding on players that not only can help you in Week 11 but in December.

Here are the top free agents to target ahead of Week 11 and how much of your remaining FAAB to use.

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

A.J. Dillon (RB) Green Bay Packers (35% FAAB) – There is a solid chance Dillon is rostered in your league, but if he’s still available, the second-year back offers RB1/2 value for at least the next two weeks, while Aaron Jones is sidelined by a mild MCL sprain. Even after Jones returns, Dillon offers standalone value as a dual-threat runner who was already in on over 35% of Green Bay’s snaps before the injury to Jones. The fact that that injury is considered relatively minor lowers Dillon’s value slightly, but he’s still worth a substantial bid as a real difference-maker for the next two games and possibly longer.

Cam Newton (QB) Carolina Panthers (15% FAAB) – That didn’t take long. Newton re-signed with Carolina a few days ago and immediately made an impact, scoring twice and leading the Panthers to a much-needed victory. The contract Newton signed shows the team sees him as a potential starter and Matt Rhule has already said that the franchise is giving Newton starter reps ahead of Week 11. Newton has borderline QB1 upside and will…
