PITCHERS

Collin McHugh

McHugh just faced the As at home throwing 6 innings and allowing only 3 hits and 1 ER while striking out 4 batters. He gets to face them tonight again, but in Oakland this time. The As are a right handed heavy team and McHugh has shown to pitch very well vs RHHs allowing only a .133 average, .188 wOBA, .64 HRs/9 and striking them out at a 37.7% clip. The Oakland Coliseum is has be known to favor pitchers. I can see McHugh going 6 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 8 batters tonight.

Jon Gray

This is a good spot for Jon Gray tonight. Gray has an elite GB rate of 55% to RHHs Padres should have 6-7 right handed bats tonight. He also limits HC and  wOBA while posting a 9K/9 rate to RHHs. I could see Hunter Renfroe taking him deep, but pitching well over all. 6 innings 2 ERs and 7-8Ks.

VALUE ARM/DARK HORSE

TBD-check back around 5

TEAM/S

LA Dodgers

The Dodgers face off against Tyler Mahle who has started off the season allowing only 1 ER (HR) over 11 innings. He faced the Marlins and Pirates so far this year. The Marlins are batting .204 with a 30% K rate vs RHP and the Pirates the Pirates are not much better. Now he gets to face the Dodgers who have smashed vs RHP this year with a .285 average, .251 ISO, 28 HRs(2nd to the Mariners) and they are only striking out at 16%. In 2018 Mahle allowed 2.5 HRs/9, .415 wOBA and a 45 % FB ratio to LHHs. Cody Bellinger is crushing this season with a .433 average, 9 HRS and a 1.438 OPS( He left last nights game after getting hit in the knee by a pitch, so keep and eye on the lineup). Joc Pederson, Corey Seager and Max Muncy all crush against RHP as well.  The 2 sneakier plays are Kiki Hernandez and A.J. Pollack who both posted over a .220 ISO vs RHP in 2018. Hernandez hit most of his HRs last year at home vs RHP.

TB Rays

Rays face off against Dylan Bundy who has not pitched well this year at all. In his last two starts he allowed 13 hits, 8 runs and 6 HRs. In 2018 Bundy allowed a 41  HRs (1.94 to LHHs and 2.33 to RHHs per 9). The Rays have some power bats that are in play tonight. Austin Meadows is on fire right now 12-22 with 4 HRs and 2 doubles over his last 5 games. Brandon Lowe has hit in 9 straight games with 3 HRs and 3 doubles in that timeframe.  Ji-Man Choi has hits in 4 straight games with 2 doubles with a HC rate of 43% as of late (HR coming soon. Tonight).  Kevin Keirmaier has hit Bundy well. Yandy Diaz and Tommy Pham have power vs RHP as well.

BATS

Jose Ramirez

Ramirez is finally starting to hit the ball with an increase in HC of +9% and a increase in distance. He belted 2 HRs last night in Seattle(park has shown to give up the long ball with the roof open).

Josh Donaldson

Donaldson is finally swinging the bat and has hit in 5 of his last 6 games with HRs in 2 straight.  He posted a .386 wOBA and .241 ISO with a 40% HC rate vs LHP in 2018. The 2 things that stand out to me in his matchup- Donaldson 59% HC rate as of late and Rays 46% HC rate vs RHH’s.

Joc Pederson

Pederson came though last night in the 9th innings with a HR his 7th on the year. Tonight he gets an even better matchup vs Tyler Mahle who got lit up against LHHs in 2018- .415 wOBA, 2.5 HRs/9 . In for another good night with power upside vs RHP- .295 ISO and 46% HC rate.

VALUE BATS

Shin-Shoo Choo- Heating up- 8-18, 3 doubles in HR in last 4 games.

John Camargo- crushes LHP.

Ji-Man Choi- hits his 1st HR of the season tonight.

Hunter Dozier– smashing the ball as of late. 5 straight multi hit games and 3 HRs in last 6 games. Revers splits
