7 game slate with a few teams battling for playoff spots. The Heat and Magic are just 1.5 games apart with the Heat holding the 8th spot and Magic right behind them. Would expect both of these teams to bring it tonight. In the West the Thunder, Spurs & Clippers are in a 4 way tie with the Jazz, so we can expect these teams to bring it as well.
The Nets head over to LA to play the Lakers and D’Angelo Russell who has been on fire gets another shot at his old team back in LA. Last time they met he put up 50 FPs. He should be fairly chalky tonight after his last game where he dropped 44 real points and 77 FPs. At 8.3K on DK he needs 41.5 FPs and he has only done that in 2 of his last 6 games. In one of the best spots of the night as the Lakers rank 28th vs opposing PGs. If you decide to fade him I would recommend playing Spencer Dinwiddie who has the same matchup. One of these players will do well tonight.
Value Team
Grizzlies– they have a depleted team already with all the injuries and now Mike Conley is listed as doubtful. This opens up a ton of usage. Delon Wright would be the first option and he should also pick up the most ownership. Tyler Dorsey, Justin Holiday & Bruno Cabolco should play heavy minutes tonight. They might start JeVon Carter tonight, so he become relevant. Chandler Parson’s has seen solid minutes as of late 23 & 25 in last 2 games and about an average 17.5 minutes over the last 12 games. At only 3.4K he has shown close to 10x upside. He should see close to 20 minutes tonight with all of the injuries to this team, but this is the NBA and just about anything can happen, so there is risk involved with a player like him. Nice option if you are willing to take a chance with one lineup. Keep an eye on who starts tonight for the Grizzlies. The amount of players active is key here.
IF/THEN
If Noah Vonleh sits out then Mitchell Robinson becomes a nice play at 4.3K on DK.
If Kevin Love sits out then Ante Zizic becomes a solid play vs the Clippers who rank 29th vs opposing centers.
Today’s Matchups- team totals, spread, pace, pace differential and opposing teams DvP over the past 10 days. Cavs and Heat get the biggest pace bump.
POINT GUARD
Russell Westbrook
Chris Paul
Still under priced on DK.
Goran Dragic
Heat are fighting for the 8th seed and Dragic could see a bit more time tonight vs the Bucks. He has played 28, 29 and 22 minutes in the last 3 games and scored 29, 57 & 29 FPs. Averaging 1.45 FPPM in that time-frame.
VALUE
Fred VanVleet
Emmanuel Mudiay
DSJ is out, so Mudiay will get the bulk of the minutes at PG. Â Going against his old team tonight.
Bryn Forbes
SHOOTING GUARD
D’Angelo Russell
Lou Williams
Excellent matchup vs the Cavs.
James Harden
VALUE
Delon Wright
Should Be chalk if Conley sits, but has been playing very well and nice bump if he starts at PG. Â He has shown upside in the past with a 50+ FPs game when he was on the Raptors.
Justin Holiday
Holiday has been playing minutes as of late, but not showing much production. If Conley sits out this opens up more shots and usage to go around and Holiday will pick up a bit of that.
SMALL FORWARD
Giannis
Just dropped 75 FPs vs the Heat 2 games ago.
Danillo Gallinari
Putting up between 35 and 45 FPs over the last 7 games. Solid matchup and could see the higher end tonight.
Rudy Gay
Spurs will need Gay to counter Harden. Playing well as of late and only 5.4k on DK.
Kawhi Leonard
VALUE
Chandler Parsons
Riaky play. Grizzlies should be limited tonight if Conley sits out. 23 & 25 minutes in last 2 games posting 28 and 34 FPs.
Tyler DorseyÂ
Another Grizzlies Player that could solid minutes tonight. 3K on DK.
Mario Hezonja
POWER FORWARD
Pascal Siakam
Just went off vs the Thunder last game.
Kyle Kuzma
VALUE
James Johnson
If Bam sits out then Johnson gets a nice boost. Played 21 & 27 minutes in last 2 games and put up 30 FPs in both. Still a GPP play if Bam ends up playing.
Bruno Cabolco
CENTER
Clint Capela
Capela put up 2- 55 FPs games this year vs the Spurs.
Jonas Valancuinas
Could play close to 30 minutes again tonight. Monster FPPM player.
Jarrett Alan
VALUE
Mitchell Robinson
Could play solid minutes again tonight. Averaging 1.25 FPPM on the year. Price is down. Risky play as the Knicks lineups are not always consistent.
Building Blocks- option to start a lineup
Westbrook is a viable plays as well. Can switch out Giannis for him.
