PG John Wall – 10,000 FD & 9,500 DK
Assuming KCP shuts down Bradley Beal (which I’m expecting), Washington will have to look elsewhere for offensive production. John Wall should have a massive game with a solid floor as he will match up against a Lakers team that is ranked 10th worst in the league allowing 45 FP to opposing point guards. Pair John Wall with Marcin Gortat for the best exposure to this game.
Other Cash PG Option(s): Russell Westbrook
SG DeMar DeRozan – 7,900 FD & 7,200 DK
The New Orleans Pelicans allow the most points in the league to opposing small forwards. This stat is due to Dante Cunningham’s poor efforts on the defensive side of the ball. Cunningham will be guarding DeMar DeRozan tonight. I expect DeRozan to exploit the matchup and run Toronto’s offense for most of the game. DeMar DeRozan is a safe play with upside at a reasonable salary.
Other Cash SG Option(s): Buddy Hield (GPP)
SF Lebron James – 11,800 FD & 10,800 DK
Lebron is a must have at a weak position on a small slate. Despite his high salary, rostering Lebron should pay off considering his expected usage in tonight’s game that has a 229 over-under.
Other Cash SF Option(s): Brandon Ingram
PF Paul Millsap – 7,200 FD & 6,800 DK
Paul Millsap has a solid matchup against Carmelo Anthony – the worst defender in the world. Millsap should be able to exploit Melo’s defensive abilities or lack thereof and carries a solid 30-point floor with a 40+ point ceiling at a reasonable salary around the industry.
Other Cash PF Option(s): Ben Simmons & Kyle Kuzma (GPP)
C Marcin Gortat – 5,500 FD & 5,600 DK
Assuming Beal gets shut down as I mentioned in the John Wall write-up, Gortat has a very favorable matchup against Brook Lopez. Gortat is my favorite play of the day at such a reasonable salary. Cousins obviously has the ceiling but is not easy to fit in your lineup.
Other Cash Center Option(s): DeMarcus Cousins
