Looking at a Friday night that has 10 games and James Harden. Over the last 12 games Harden has only gone under 60 FP twice in that timeframe, while post 2-90+, 2-80+ and the rest in the 70s. His price has risen to 13.8K-14K range on DK/FD and he would need right around 70 FPs to hit value tonight, which he has done in just about every game since Paul has been out. In this article I will give you options to help fit Harden in as well as options if you choose to fade him. Tonight, Harden faces off against the Raptors who have one of the better defenders in the league in Kawhi Leonard. If you choose to fade Harden, then I would recommend playing Leonard(if he plays tonight) & Eric Gordon.
*Keep an eye on Derrick Rose’s status. The Jazz was the team Rose dropped 50 points against earlier this season.
CORE
Shabazz Napier
Mason Plumlee
Wil Barton
Point Guards
Kemba Walker– Walker has been solid as of late posting 39 FPs on 4 of his last 5 games.
Reggie Jackson– cheap option in a good matchup. Ish Smith doubtful again, so Jackson could see a bit extra run.
Dennis Smith Jr.- players 37 minutes last game and put up 33 FPs. Pistons have been struggling vs the PG as of late.
Mike Conley– Nice pace up spot for Conley. Very good matchup. Prefer him over Marc Gasol tonight.
Value- PG has some solid depth in the value department tonight. 3 players in good spots.
Shabazz Napier- The Nets may be without Dinwiddie for awhile, which could open up minutes for Napier who has played well this year when getting minutes. Very good matchup as the Knicks have allowed close to 50 FPs to opposing PGs over the past month. Excellent value on both sites tonight. Keep an eye on Dinwiddie’s status.
Jarryd Bayless– in play if either Teague and or Rose sit out. Bayless has dropped 10x in 2 straight games now. If Bayeless starts he is definitely my favorite option of the 3.
Elie Okobo– here is another play IF DeAndre Melton ends up sitting. Played for Melton last night 25.8 DK points over 28 minutes.
Tyler Johnson-If Waiters sits TJ is in a good spot vs the Cavs.
Shooting Guards
DeAngelo Russell– on a tear as of late dropping 50 or more FPs in 4 of his last 5 game. Would pick up some extra minutes/usage if Dinwiddie is out.
Donavon Mitchell-has been on fire. Gobert is listed as questionable and if he sits Mitchell gets an nice bump.
Evan Fournier-Playing 30+ plus minutes and put up 33 and 35 FPs vs the Wizards in his 2 meetings this year.
Value
Justin Holiday-playing 30+ minutes just about every night. Pace up spot against a bad defensive team.
Gary Harris– no Jokic, so a lot more usage to go around. Harris is still priced around 5k.
Small Forwards
Kawhi Leonard– make sure he is listed as playing. He should be in charge of taking on Harden and in doing so should pick up some extra steals. Also, he has been a big part of the Raptors offense.
Kelly Oubre Jr– playing very well off the bench. No Warren, so he should see extended run again.
Will Barton– Barton gets the biggest bump with Jokic off the floor. Love the upside for his vs the Suns.
Value
Damyean Dotson
Power Forwards
Paul Milsap-Jokic has been ruled out and Milsap picks up a nice bump in usage with an increaseif 9%. He gets an elite matchup.
Montrezl Harrell– Bulls allows a good amount of points in the paint and this is where Harrell lives. They also have trouble rebounding the ball. Harrell should have a good night.
Lauri Markkanen– Playing well
Noah Vonleh-Bigs vs Nets. Just do it. Vonleh will go off tonight, especially if he gets time at the 5.
Value
Marvin Williams– Nice spot vs the Bucks as the rank 24th vs the PF.
Derrick Favors–
Centers
Karl-Anthony Towns– Towns put up a big game last time he played the Jazz. 28/16/4. Pts/Reb/asst.
Nikola Jokic- ruled out! Play Mason Plumlee!
Jarrett Allen
Value
Mason Plumlee- just do it!
Risk/Reward
Dion Waiters-right now Waiters is listed as questionable. He is in an excellent spot tonight vs the Cavs and if he plays and worth a punt at his price. One thing Waiter’s loves to do is shoot and he should have no problem getting shots off vs the Cavs. Keep an eye on his status.
Enes Kanter– Kanter burned a lot of people last night. First, he was listed as starting and then later in the day listed not. Risky play and only worth a look if he starting and you are playing multiple lineups. This is a crush spot for who ever plays the C or even the PF position for the Knicks(hence why I like Vonleh). Kanter is pissed right now and could easily destroy at his price of only 4.7K on DK.
