Rose’ 7/5 DFS Main Plays

PITCHING

Huge mess with arms today. Verlander is ok, but Chicago has been good against RHP over the past week hitting 9 home runs as a team. The chalk will be low priced Detroit bats, with guys trying to fit Verlander. At $12,200 that’s just too pricey for me for a guy who’s topped 50 fantasy points once in his last 7 starts.

Fried – chalk alert here, but is in a decent spot. Milwaukee is middle of the pack against LHP over the past 2 weeks and they’ve hit just 1 home run against the split in that same time frame. They’re also striking out 33% of the time. (Risk factor 5)

Boyd – little scary on paper, but Boyd has pitched very well at home this year. He’s allowed just 3 HR in 41.1 innings pitched at home, while limiting hitters to just a .181 average. (Risk factor 5)

Weaver – Weaver struggles against lefties so there’s some serious worry here with Brandon Belt. In a slate like today, you can actually play Belt against Weaver in the same line and be fine. Nice park shift for him in San Fran so that should help with limiting the long ball. (Risk factor 5)

Gonzalez – another scary matchup on paper, but again he’s also been good at home. In 47 innings pitched, Marco has only allowed 1 Home run at home. His k rate also bumps up to 24%. Over the past 2 weeks the Angels are hitting just .185 against LHP (Risk factor 5)

STACKS

Seattle – Absolutely my favorite stack today. In their last series against LA they hit .360 with 10 home runs (numbers shown above) Haniger Healy and Cruz accounted for all of those home runs. Make this your core and work around them.

Atlanta lefties – hitters park, against their former teammate albeit 5 games in 2016. Chacin is due for a very large blowup game, it’ll be tonight.

Miami – this one is going to go completely under owned with everyone going to the Washington side. Word came out that Hellickson is dealing with an illness, so Miami will see a tired bullpen that threw 8 innings last night. Dietrich Bour and Realmuto the stack here, with all 3 hitting better on the road this year.

Washington righties and Soto- facing an inexperienced lefty tonight. Rendon and Soto my favorites. You can mix in Turner too, but don’t expect any stolen bases with Realmuto behind the plate.Â
