Rose’ 6/14 Early Slate Plays

DENVER, CO - AUGUST 16: Charlie Blackmon (19) of the Colorado Rockies makes contact with the ball during the fourth inning of a game against the Washington Nationals at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado on August 16, 2016. (Photo by Seth McConnell/The Denver Post)

PITCHING

Clevinger – he’s been good on the road this year with a 2.43 era, .182 average and 82.6% LOB rate. He will be chalky, but this could be volatile chalk today. The Sox can throw some lefties at him who could do some damage, so he’s risky here. (Risk factor 5)

Lynn – he’s been very good over his last 12 innings pitched with a .146 average 12k’s and 1.08 whip. Lefties are just 3 for 25 over that period while righties are 3 for 24.  (Risk factor 4)

Marquez – Great away from Coors with a sub 2 era and .200 average. 23.8% k rate on the road to just an 8.4% walk rate. Tough on righties on the road where they’re hitting ground balls around 56% and striking out almost 25%. K upside for him today. (Risk factor 4)

Stacks

Colorado LHB – lefties are crushing Velasquez at home to a .333 average and 7 home runs. Lefties are also hitting fly balls at a 50% rate as well. Blackmon/Cargo dong calls. (Blackmon Cargo Parra DJ)

Minnesota LHB- This team just smashes right handed pitching. Fulmer has given up 7 homers to lefties and a 44% hard contact at home to the splits.  (Dozier Rosario Escobar Cave Adrianza)

Miami – To all of our surprise this team is actually hitting. Today they get Pudge Rodriguez’ son who has struggled in his only road start, and struggled to get RHB out. Brian Anderson has been hot, and Justin Bour is about to start his home run barrage.  (Anderson Bour Castro Dietrich)
