Sunday, March 11th
Happy selection Sunday. Three game short slate tonight. No worries, we had subs take down over $7k in winnings on last weeks 3 game Sunday night slate.  I expect similar results tonight!
STACK OF THE NIGHT
New York Islanders … Tavares, Bailey and Lee
This is the game of the night folks. Isles are finishing up their west coast swing in Calgary tonight who returns home after an east coast trip that was productive for them. Sadly for the Flames, they stink at home. Good for us though, we can capitalize on this and I expect this to be the highest scoring game of the night by far. With only three games, expect most guys here to be 30-40% owned, but it’s not worth fading. Lock in your stack out of this game and use the stack summary reference at the bottom for some idea’s on how to game stack it (they’re listed IN ORDER of my preference).
All that aside, you know I am on the Law Firm…..  Tavares-Bailey and Lee. Don’t fade Anders Lee
SECONDARY PICKS
Calgary Flames … Backlund-Tkachuk
Both Calgary top lines will draw a ton of ownership at home against the Isles. Calgary is coming off a road trip where they did well and in typical Calgary fashion they will come home tonight and lay an egg. I see a 6-4 type game with Calgary on the losing side but getting production from both top lines. Lets roll with Backlund-Tkachuk.
Vancouver vs Arizona
Oh hey. There’s a game in Arizona tonight and it’s a re-match of the gold game from the other night when we locked in the Stepan-Keller-Perlini two goal stack in a low scoring Coyotes win. The Canucks are banged up still and I expect this to be another blah game. Given the three choices tonight it’s likely to be the lowest in terms of stacks and that makes perfect sense. Look here for some one off value plays, but also look here for a goalie tonight.
Canucks
- Daniel Sedin or Jake Virtanen
Coyotes
- Derek Stepan, Clayton Keller (At 5100 on FanDuel he is criminally underpriced considering the matchup) and Brendan Perlini
FADE
Dallas Stars vs Pittsburgh Penguins (Forwards)… So yesterday afternoon I faded a game that had over 10 goals in it. On the surface that sounds horrible, but we gotta note that a fade in hockey is normally a play against the top lines on both teams and that they won’t do enough damage to justify their cost. This was the case yesterday with Boston and Chicago as the guys to own ended up being guys that nobody owned. So tonight for Dallas vs Pitt I am fading Crosby, Malkin, Seguin, Benn, Radulov, Kessel, Hornqvist. I like the defenseman on both sides here, but not the top forwards to have huge games. The Stars offense isn’t as solid on the road where they cannot control matchups and Pitt is coming off a B2B. So when one of these guys DOES score one goal (they will) don’t panic. If they score 5. Well, then there’s so much chalk hitting that we just wanna move on anyways.
DEFENSEMAN
- Dougie Hamilton
- Oliver Ekman-Larsson
- Justin Schultz – Letang usually plays less on B2B, Schultz could see a slight boost tonight against the Stars who are weak vs DEF….
- John Klingberg
- Ryan Pulock or Thomas Hickey — both cheap NYI plays, Pulock on PP2
- TJ Brodie
GOALIE
Casey DeSmith …Normally I wouldnt recommend a Penguins goalie when they are on a B2B, but at home tonight they should bounce back after the loss in Toronto last night and DeSmith would be that win benefactor. All we want tonight is the win and dont give up 5 goals along the way.
Jackub Markstrom / Antii Ranta (Questionable)
There is no news yet out of Arizona as to who the Coyotes goalie is tonight. It could be Darcy Keumper again (dont like on FD for 8k), it could be Adin Hill (7200 on FD) who is worth a longshot paired with Keller or it could be the return of Antii ‘Faanta’ Raanta from injury.  For Vancouver, it’s highly likely that we seee Jackub Markstrom tonight in goal, so if you go with a couple Canucks one offs then look at Markstrom.
