NFL Week 4: Cash vs GPP Plays

With DraftKings removing the SNF game from their Main slate this week you’ll need to remove any Colts and Seahawks from consideration if playing on DraftKings.
This is a breakdown of the main slate Cash vs GPP game plays for the upcoming week

QUARTERBACK

CASH

Russell Wilson (FD only) — Wilson is projected to score 23.3 FanDuel points this week and will certainly be a chalky play on FanDuel where he is only 7900.

Matt Ryan — Ryan will be a more popular play on DK this week but not extremely high.  Ryan at home is always a high floor and has a good matchup against Buffalo.

DeShaun Watson — Watson will be a very popular play this week on DK because of where he is projected on out FullTimeScores.  I would not use him in a tournament in what projects to actually be a close/low scoring game.

GPP PIVOTS

Ben Roethlisberger (FD) — Ben is my favorite pivot off Russell Wilson in the same price range.  Nobody will play Ben on the road anymore and he’s playing a Baltimore team who is tired and just got SHREDDED by Blake Bortles and the Jaguars.  Ben+Marty Bryant and Antonio Brown

Carson Palmer — Palmer isn’t that far off from Watson in our projections but he’s got just as many tools and likely has a higher scoring game despite the general perception that Arizona plays low scoring games still.

RUNNING BACK

CASH

LeVeon Bell — Lev Bell is chalky in cash almost every week.   No exception this week.

Ezekiel Elliott — Zeke at home should be the highest owned RB on both sites in cash.  He’s the safest play in this group

Dalvin Cook — Cook still benefits from a reduced price compared to the other stud RB’s but is seeing a high volume.  FullTimeScores project him at 20+ FD points this week making him a top cash game play.

GPP PIVOTS

Devonta Freeman — Nobody has the home road TD splits like Freeman however with the choices of Julio Jones and LeSean McCoy in this same game we may see Freeman < 10% in cash like he was two weeks ago when he went off against the Packers.  That means low owned Freeman in tournaments too.

Carlos Hyde — The FullTimeScores see Hyde scoring 18+ FD points against Arizona and while the Cardinals have a solid run defense, this game does project to be a sneaky higher scoring game.

WIDE RECEIVERS

CASH

AJ Green — AJ Green has a “cake” matchup against the Browns and he has performed great on the road as we saw last week in Green Bay.

Keenan Allen — Allen is a popular play on DK this week due to the extra 0.5 pt for PPR.  He should have a field day against the Eagles secondary

DeAndre Hopkins … Hopkins may not be as highly owned as say Julio Jones, but Hopkins ownership might be higher than you think.  Hopkins will be the go to correlation play in many of the Watson lineups.

GPP PIVOTS

Brandin Cooks — He has 2 TD, 200 yard upside against the Panthers.  Give me Cooks over AJ Green in tournaments this weekend.

Sammy Watkins — You can beat this Dallas secondary, especially deep.  Watkins is coming off a good game and should be even more featured this week against the Cowboys.

Golden Tate — Tate has good games against Minnesota because he is moved around and plays in the slot a ton.  I like Stafford and Tate to hook up on a big pass play this week.

TIGHT ENDS

CASH

Kyle Rudolph — Rudolph is alwas a popular cash play and with some other popular TE’s off this slate he’ll pick up even more ownership.

Jared Cook — The Raiders will likely be trailing early to the Broncos and wont be able to rely on Cooper/Crabtree as much against the Broncos cornerbacks.

GPP PIVOTS

Evan Engram — Engram is seeing 5+ targets per game from Eli Manning and the Tampa Bay Bucs give up plenty of red zone looks to opposing tight ends.

Hunter Henry — Henry is either completely absent or a big part of the passing attack for the Chargers.  You’re really rolling the dice playing him in cash but he’s one of the more talented TE’s and is only 3500 on DK.
