With three day games today we get a slightly shortened Wednesday slate tonight with 12 games going….
PITCHING
Max Scherzer … If someone would like to explain to me why Max Scherzer is below 11k on FanDuel then I am all ears. Â What a joke on the pricing here. Â I understand that they’ve weighted the pricing based on recent performance but this is a spot where we can easily assume he will give us good value for that price. Â All season long we have consistently found enough good bats around the 10k-11k range pitchers on FanDuel. Â On DraftKings, however, at 13.4, I am fine fading Max because although I love him for price on FanDuel, I don’t think we’re going to see a 12+ strikeout, 8 inning performance from Scherzer that some are scared of. Â Atlanta is lower on the strikeout totals and have a couple bats to scare me off him on DK.
Chase Anderson … My sneaky gem of the night is Mr. Bullwinkle himself! Â McCutchen is the one guy to concern with here and I trust Anderson to be smart around him and pitch deep into the game tonight and lead the Brewers to victory.
Ervin Santana … The Twins are on a roll and this appears to be one of those September locks as they welcome in the Padres. Â The only thing scaring me off Santana slightly is that the weather is in the mid 80’s here with good humidity. Â Santana shutdown the Padres earlier this year and is a nice pivot off Max on DK….
SP2 Play of the day
Matt Moore … Second half Matt Moore against the Dodgers? Â Who just clinched finally? Â This smells like another low scoring game with Moore outpitching Darvish.. Â SP2 lock on DK.
TOP STACKS
Philadelphia … If it isn’t broke, dont fix it. Â Back on the Phillies tonight!
Milwaukee … No Braun in the lineup will keep the casual players away.  Thames/Walker/Santana/Shaw makes a sweet 1-4 HR upside stack.
Seattle/Texas … Great hitting conditions here and two pitchers who struggle to put up 0’s. Â I think this game flips to the Rangers tonight but can’t ignore Nelson Cruz and his history against Texas and notably Martin Perez.
LA Angels … Mike Fiers has been atrocious over his last two starts.
St. Louis … This game should get into the bullpens early with two young pitchers on the mound. Â I liked Mahle last start but not today against a surging Cardinals team.
