Visionary Plays for Week 6

QB:

Patrick Mahomes—Normally I tend to favor the genius of Bill Belichick, (NFL #1 offenses are 7-16 against the Patriots) but I am not sure that the Patriots are ready for Mahomes. He is deceptively mobile with a rifle for an arm. I think New England will do their best to take away Travis Kelce as Mahomes’ security blanket, but that will only mean that he will have to throw it deep to Hill and Watkins. He is a must-start in any format.

Jameis Winston—Jameis couldn’t have asked for a better matchup in his first start back. The Falcons are decimated with injuries, and their defense is giving up huge plays. Jameis should be able to take advantage of this so long as he has time to throw.

Matt Ryan—If there is any worse secondary than Atlanta it must be Tampa. Matt Ryan should have no problems finding his first, second, and third reads on each play. Look for him to have 300+ passing yards and three TDs easily in this contest.

Andy Dalton—I don’t trust Dalton, but he’s played much better this season and the Steelers defense has been getting burned weekly. I am not sure that Dalton will have a huge game, but 250 and two TDs should be his floor this weekend.

Jared Goff—It might seem counterintuitive to go with Goff against one of the better pass defenses in the league, but I think that Denver is overrated. If Robby Anderson can beat them deep, can you imagine what Woods and Cooks will do?

Deshaun Watson—Which Buffalo Bills team will show up? Will it be the one which gave Minnesota fits? Or will it be the one that gets scored upon at will as they did against the Chargers? My money is on a blowout, so I will roll with Watson who is always a stud so long as Will Fuller is in the lineup.

RB:

Todd Gurley—Denver’s run defense just allowed Jets RB Isaiah Crowell to run for over 200 yards against them. Does that mean that Gurley might run for 300 yards? It could! I think he is a lock for 100 yards and two TDs in this matchup.

Christian McCaffrey—CMC had an off week against the Giants and still scored about 16 Fantasy points. Look for him to get back on track with 20+ Fantasy points this weekend against a very mediocre Redskins defense playing on a short week.

Jordan Howard—Matt Nagy knows that he needs to give Howard more carries and Miami has 4th worst run defense in the NFL. While I do expect a healthy dose of Tarik Cohen, I still think Howard goes for 80 yards and a TD. He’s a much better play on FanDuel than Draft Kings.

T.J. Yeldon—Fournette is out, and there is no way that Jamaal Charles is ready for a full workload. This should give Yeldon about 20 touches which will be enough to make him one of the top producers of the week at RB.

Tevin Coleman—Devonta Freeman is most likely out with a foot injury opening the door for Coleman to have a big week. Some people might jump on the Ito Smith bandwagon after his one-yard TD last week, but Coleman is still the bigger body back who will get 18-20 touches in a shootout.

Sony Michel—if New England wants to win this game they are going to have to slow down the clock and take their time on offense to make sure Mahomes stays off the field. The best way for them to do this is to run the football with Michel. Look for him to get about 20 carries and 100 yards and a TD.

WR:

Julio Jones—This really should be Julio’s breakout game. I will be overweight on him for DFS as well, hoping that he busts out against the diminutive Brent Grimes.

Mike Evans—Ryan Fitzpatrick did a great job including DJax and Godwin on offense, but Jameis’ top guy is Mike Evans. Look for him to be the first read on virtually every throw downfield. This should translate into a huge game as the Bucs need to keep it close with the high-flying Falcons.

Tyreek Hill—There is no one in all of Boston who can keep up with Hill. I think he burns the Patriots not only with a long reception for a TD, but I can easily see him returning a punt for a TD too. Speed kills and Hill might be the fastest man in the league.

Will Fuller—Something tells me that this has the makings of a Fuller week. Tre’Davious White will be covering DeAndre Hopkins leaving Fuller one on one with Ryan Lewis who cannot match up with Fuller’s speed. Look for Fuller to make one play (and maybe two) if the game stays relatively close.

Doug Baldwin—Ok, don’t shoot me but I am playing Baldwin. Here are some reasons: 1) games in London are always higher scoring, and I think Wilson passes more, 2) 33-year old Leon Hall cannot stay with Baldwin even if Baldwin is not 100% healthy, 3) speaking of health, Baldwin is not on the injury report for the first time this season, 4) Baldwin was so horrible last week that no one will play him this week.

TE:

Austin Hooper—The Bucs are the worst team in the league against opposing tight ends and Hooper is coming off a sensational game against Pittsburgh. I think he comes back and has another strong showing.

C.J. Uzomah—Pittsburgh has been awful covering the tight end which puts Uzomah in a great spot for success. I am not sure that he will have enough targets for a huge game, but I can see him getting 50 yards and a TD easily.

Jordan Reed—Carolina had troubles with both Hooper and Eifert earlier in the season, which bodes well for Reed. Additionally, the Redskins might be without Adrian Peterson and Paul Richardson which means that they will be relying on Reed more than normal.

Cameron Brate—Brate is Jameis’ favorite red zone target, and I will be shocked if he doesn’t score in this high scoring game.
