I was wondering if Adam Ronis and Dr. Roto could go on their podcast and talk about how they actually attack a live draft in vegas do you just sit down with your rankings and go down the list or do you pass on a higher ranked guy and pick a lower ranked player in a better situation? When you sit down at the draft table what tools are in front of you? What is your mind set going in if your at the end of the draft what are you looking to do in the later rounds? Do you draft a starting lineup first or do you just build depth and pound away at WR,RB’s how do you guys like to build a team. Please explain the process you use to build a winning lineup come draft day

I have my rankings in front of me and no computer. I don’t strictly go by the rankings. It depends what my roster is at the time. I explain on the podcasts how I build my team. I will talk about my superflex draft on Monday.

Thanks for answering this question on the podcast I think that getting to hear you guys talk about a certain topic gives more insight then written text it also helps us learn more. I was glad to see that I approach the draft in the same way you guys do and use some of the same concepts at the draft table. What I was surprised to hear was that Dr Roto doesn’t use his own rankings so that made me wonder who’s list do you use? I also have the same theory that some guys I do not want on my team mainly because these guys will create questions every week should I start them or should I bench them. This is what leads to losing weeks I prefer guys that I have no question if I should start them or not so with that being said Dr. Roto why would you even want to add these guys back into your draft list on draft day?

It’s a great question. I have a general list more to see who I think OTHER people will take. I used a general tiered sheet that I find on the internet. I cross off names and always have my rankings in mind when I select.
