Yesterday, I traded away BAL TE Mark Andrews, 2019 1.09 & 4.09 and a 2020 2nd for KC TE Travis Kelce.
In my mind this is a slam dunk win in my team’s favor. Yes Kelce is 29 and yes Andrews looked great as a rookie. BUT Kelce is Mahomes’ go to guy. If healthy, Kelce is a lock to outclass the position. Kelce could play another 5 years for all we know and I’ll happily take that shot on a #1 guy at his position.
Andrews is young and promising, but he’s also in a run-first offense with limited passing upside. Plus Hayden Hurst comes back and Nick Boyle is still on the roster. It’s not a TE committee but Kelce could post 15 TDs next year and Lamar Jackson might only throw 15 passing TDs.

I agree. Travis Kelce is one of my favorite Fantasy Football players. I absolutely NEVER draft tight ends early. I don’t think I’ve ever had any shares of Rob Gronkowski in my entire Fantasy career. But I think Kelce is a special player on a potent offense. I think he has 4+ years of elite production left in the tank. Solid deal.
I’m so high on Kelce that I would consider taking him with the last pick of the first round in PPR leagues. That’s how amazing I think he will be this year, especially with Tyreek Hill likely to miss at least 6 or so games.
