Fuego Steve’s MLB Plays of the Day – Fanduel Early Only

Fuego Steve’s MLB Plays of the Day

Pitchers – Best options

Justin Verlander – If you are paying up he is your best option today versus a Yankee team that can strikeout.

David Price – I am rolling out Price today on Fanduel. It allows you to get some high-priced bats with still good upside at pitcher. He should get the win as well.

Gio Gonzalez – Yup, I am going back to Gio again today versus my Orioles. Though I could see them getting to him today a little bit. Wouldn’t mind hedging with Baltimore bats.

Pitchers – Next best options

Domingo German – Pitched only four innings against them last time out. However, didn’t allow a run and struck out four allowing four hits and a walk over 64 pitches.

Jacob DeGrom – Prefer JV over him if paying up today

 Chalk Stacks

Chalk stacks are not necessarily bad plays. Chalk is chalk for a reason, because the team is in a good spot that day. In fact, sometimes you must play some chalk to win, especially if there is one team far and away in a better spot than the rest. I list these for you to recognize who is going to be popular. If you decide to play them, mix lower owned stacks, mini-stacks or low owned one-offs. Or within the chalk stack be different, like stacking the bottom of the order. I will also tell you if I am playing or fading them that night.

Boston Red Sox

Washington Nationals

L.A. Angels

All three should be popular, and I have no problem playing stacks on either team, I currently have the Nats

Favorite Stacks

Washington Nationals – I am stacking the Nationals with some mini stacks or one offs. It is tough to get a 4×4 stack if one them is high-priced today. Looking at Mets, Angels, or Cardinals in mini stacks.

 Position plays of the day

Catcher – Victor Martinez, Evan Gattis, Manny Pina

1st Base – Matt Adams, Mark Reynolds, Mitch Moreland, Jefry Marte

2nd Base – Josh Harrison, Jonathan Villar, Gleyber Torres

3rd Base – Travis Shaw, Zach Cozart, Jose Bautista, Khris Bryant

SS – Trea Turner, Jedd Gyorko, Xander Bogarts, Manny Machado

Outfield – Bryce Harper, Andrew Benintendi, Austin Meadows, Brewers, Tommy Pham, Nick Castellanos, Harrison Bader, Ryan Braun

Value plays of the day – w projected batting order

Be sure to check back to see if lineup order changes. Batting order is one of the main ways to find value in MLB. The same player may not be a great value batting 9th, but if batting 2nd becomes a great play.

Jefry Marte – $2000 FD – batting 6th for the Angels, confirmed

Jose Bautista – $2000 FD – batting 4th for Mets, confirmed

Tommy LaStella – $2000 FD – batting 2nd for the Cubs, confirmed

Harrison Bader – $2400 FD – batting 6th for the Cardinals, confirmed

Zach Cozart – $2900 FD – batting 1st for the Angels, confirmed

Jonathan Villar – $2200 FD – batting 6th for the Brewers, confirmed

As usual hit me in Slack chat an hour before lock with lineup questions and updated weather information.
