Senior Fantasy Football Expert Adam Ronis pinpoints a few players you may want in your lineup if you are dealing with injuries or are in a deeper league. Welcome to this edition of Week 15 Deep Sleepers!

Week 15 Deep Sleepers

QB Derek Carr @CIN

Carr is difficult to trust, but he’s coming off two of his better games of the season. He passed for 285 yards with three touchdowns in Week 13 against the Chiefs and 322 yards with two touchdowns last week against the Steelers. Both of those were home games and Carr hasn’t been as good on the road, but the Bengals are one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They have allowed the second most Fantasy points to quarterbacks, including 27 passing touchdowns. The Bengals have allowed 421.9 yards per game.

RB Kenneth Dixon vs. TB

Dixon has looked good since coming off injured reserve in his two games. Coach John Harbaugh said his role should increase going forward. While Gus Edwards is still the starter and had 16 carries while playing 31 snaps last week, Dixon played 23 snaps and had eight carries for 59 yards with a touchdown and had a 21-yard catch. Ty Montgomery played 19 snaps and is used more in the passing game. The Ravens are 7.5-point favorites against the Buccaneers and are running often with Lamar Jackson at quarterback. The Buccaneers allow the fifth-most Fantasy points to running backs, including 20 touchdowns.

RB Ito Smith vs. ARI

Tevin Coleman has struggled most of the season, especially the last few games in difficult matchups. Ito Smith has been in the mix more, too. While Coleman has played more snaps, it’s been an advantage of 29-24 and 33-32 in favor of Coleman the last two games. Smith tied a season-high with 11 carries last week and rushed for 60 yards and caught three passes for 14 yards. It’s the second straight game Smith has had more touches than Coleman. The Falcons are a 7.5-point favorites and it’s a matchup to exploit the run. The Cardinals have allowed the fourth-most Fantasy points to running backs, including 16 rushing touchdowns. There’s a good chance Smith gets 10-12 touches.

WR Robert Foster vs. DET

Foster has at least 94 yards receiving in three of the last four games. Foster barely played early in the season and had three catches for 105 yards in Week 10. He scored in Week 12 against the Jaguars and played a season-high 96-percent of the snaps last week. He caught seven passes for 104 yards on eight targets. The Lions have struggled against wide receivers. They allowed Cardinals receivers to get 197 yards last week.

WR Randall Cobb @CHI

Cobb has been back for two weeks after missing time with injury and he ran the second most routes among the Packers receivers last week behind Davante Adams. The young receivers have been give plenty of chances to emerge and they haven’t, leaving Cobb as a trusted target for Aaron Rodgers. Cobb had five catches for 43 yards with a touchdown last week and gets a better matchup in the slot now that Bryce Callahan is out for the season for the Bears. Cobb has a good history against the Bears, including nine catches for 142 yards with a touchdown in Week 1.

TE Chris Herndon vs. HOU

Herndon has produced a high floor in most weeks. He had a tough matchup last week and caught one pass for 14 yards on two targets against the Bills. The two targets were the fewest he had since Week 8. The Texans are stout against the run and more vulnerable against the pass. In the last five games, the Texans have allowed four touchdowns to tight ends and seven on the season. Jeff Heuerman had ten catches for 83 yards with a touchdown in Week 9 and Jonnu Smith had two catches for 63 yards with a touchdown in Week 12 against the Texans. Eric Ebron had four catches for 65 yards with a touchdown last week.
