Fantasy Football Week 13: Spencer Ware Central

A hub page where all of your Spencer Ware questions can be answered by the top Fantasy Football Experts in the industry!

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

This page is a hub that houses all questions pertaining to Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware after Kareem Hunt was cut following the release of a brutal domestic violence video. Spencer Ware is now the lead back of the 9-2 Chiefs and while our projections place him in the top 10 running backs against the Oakland Raiders this week with 22.5 PPR points and 19.5 Non PPR points, projections do not always paint the full picture due to a player’s ceiling vs. his floor. Fellow Chief, Tyreek Hill, is the perfect example. While we project that he will produce 23+ points this week, his ceiling is 40 points.

With all that being said, lets see what the Senior Experts at FullTime Fantasy Sports think about Spencer Ware compared to some other potential big names in Week 13.

Week 13 Running Back Questions

Spencer Ware or Matt Breida

  • Dr. Roto: Ware – Worried about the 49ers falling flat in Seattle
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – The Raiders have allowed 1,481 rushing yards to running backs, 4.9 yards per carry and Ware has had success in the NFL. He’s in a high-powered offense that will get plenty of scoring opportunities. Breida is hurt by a bad offense.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Breida

Spencer Ware or Austin Ekeler

  • Dr. Roto: Ware EVEN with Ekeler – Like Ware’s chances of a TD more but Ekeler will pile points on in PPR
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Ware gets the edge for a better matchup and more scoring opportunities.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or David Johnson

  • Dr. Roto: Johnson
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Johnson has three receptions the last two games on six targets as the offense is struggling again.
  • Shawn Childs: Johnson
  • Bill Enright: Johnson

Spencer Ware or Aaron Jones

  • Dr. Roto: Jones
  • Adam Ronis: Jones – Jones has five touchdowns in the last three games and finally getting the volume. The Cardinals have allowed 320 rushing yards to running backs the last two games.
  • Shawn Childs: Jones
  • Bill Enright: Jones

Spencer Ware or Lamar Miller

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Miller has four touchdowns and only 17 catches.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Dalvin Cook

  • Dr. Roto: Cook
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – The Vikings offensive line has struggled to run block and they’re not getting Cook the ball enough in the passing game.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Gus Edwards

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Edwards

Spencer Ware or James Conner

Spencer Ware or Nick Chubb

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Chubb
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Phillip Lindsay

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Lindsay – Lindsay has been impressive all season, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. The Bengals defense is one of the worst in the NFL and have allowed a rushing touchdown to a running back in five straight games, including five in the last three games.
  • Shawn Childs: Lindsay
  • Bill Enright: Lindsay

Week 13 Flex Questions

Spencer Ware or Demaryius Thomas

  • Dr. Roto: Ware – Still don’t trust Demaryius.
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Thomas has nine targets in three games with the Texans. Deshaun Watson has 25 pass attempts or fewer in six straight games. If Thomas doesn’t score a touchdown, the floor is very low.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Josh Gordon

  • Dr. Roto: Ware – Too many weapons for Brady that I think Ware’s floor is higher than Gordon’s.
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Ware will get the ball more. Gordon saw five targets last week with Rob Gronkowski back and Sony Michel getting heavy volume and Gordon has a tough matchup against the Vikings.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Kenny Golladay

  • Dr. Roto: Golladay
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – While I like Golladay a lot and he should get a lot of targets, there’s a chance it doesn’t result in a big day if Matthew Stafford doesn’t have time to throw. The volume will be there for Ware.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Emmanuel Sanders

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Sanders is an excellent play, but Ware has the higher floor.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or T.Y. Hilton

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Hilton is a good play. The Jaguars defense isn’t the dominating force it was and Jalen Ramsey could sit, but Ware is the better play.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Calvin Ridley

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – Ridley is averaging six targets per game and is touchdown dependent.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Tyler Lockett

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware – While Lockett has been excellent and scored in every game except three, Ware is the better play.
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or JuJu Smith-Schuster

  • Dr. Roto: Smith-Schuster
  • Adam Ronis: Ware
  • Shawn Childs: Ware
  • Bill Enright: Smith-Schuster

  • Bill Enright: Ware

Spencer Ware or Keenan Allen

  • Dr. Roto: Ware
  • Adam Ronis: Ware
  • Shawn Childs: Allen
  • Bill Enright: Ware (Standard) & Allen (PPR)

Overall Ware Predictions

Week 13 PPR Floor vs. Ceiling

  • Dr. Roto: 13-28 points
  • Adam Ronis: 16-32 points
  • Shawn Childs: 14-30 points
  • Bill Enright: 17-30 points

Week 13 PPR vs. Non PPR prediction

Dr. Roto: 16 carries for 64 yards rushing, 3 receptions for 39 yards and 1 TD =  19.3 PPR points & 16.3 Non-PPR points

Adam Ronis: I see Ware as a Top 10 RB this week. He has a good shot for 100 yards rushing and a touchdown or two and 3-4 receptions. PPR Projection: 19 | Non-PPR Projection: 16

Shawn Childs: 19 carries for 101 yards rushing, 3 receptions for 34 yards and 1 TD =  22.5 PPR points & 19.5 Non-PPR points

Bill Enright: Firm believer in the importance of handcuffing the RIGHT players. For nearly two decades we’ve seen running backs in Andy Reid’s system excel in fantasy football production. Whether it was Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, or Kareem Hunt, the Offensive Scheme is often more important than the individual player and when it comes to backs in Reid’s system, it really is that simple of plug-n-play.

Dating back to Week 8, the Raiders have allowed: 132 yards (Marlon Mack), 86 yards (Raheem Mostert), 93 yards (Melvin Gordon), 137 yards (David Johnson), and 118 yards (Gus Edwards). Oakland also allowed four rushing TDs in those five games. The minimum for Ware is 75 yards on the ground and 35 yards receiving with a strong chance to find the end-zone.

The Chiefs are a two touchdown favorite over the Raiders, so when the 4th Quarter rolls around, don’t expect to see Patrick Mahomes dropping back and chucking it 70 yards downfield to Tyreek Hill. Instead we should all expect a lot of hand-offs to Ware who will be a Top 12 RB  in ALL formats the rest of the season… Spencer Ware is a League Winner!!!

As you can see, the experts are VERY high on Spencer Ware this week… and for the rest of the season. If you are asking “Who do I Start” and Ware is one of the options, he is most likely the answer in his juicy matchup against the Oakland Raiders!
