Senior Fantasy Baseball Expert Adam Ronis lists every player in Major League Baseball either suffering from an ailment or on the verge of returning in this Week 8 Injury Report!

AMERICAN LEAGUE

SS Elvis Andrus, Texas Rangers

Andrus has a fractured right elbow and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks from the time he went on the DL on April 13.

3B Tim Beckham, Baltimore Orioles

Beckham had core muscle surgery and is expected to return in June.

3B Adrian Beltre, Texas Rangers

Beltre is on the DL with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

RP Zach Britton, Baltimore Orioles

Britton is scheduled to throw to live batting practice this week.  He is slated to return in early June.

1B Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers

Cabrera is on the DL with a right hamstring strain. He has yet to resume baseball activities. He is experiencing soreness in his hip and back while receiving treatment for the hamstring injury.

SP Trevor Cahill, Oakland Athletics

Cahill is on the DL with a right elbow impingement and is expected to return Wednesday.

3B Jeimer Candelario, Detroit Tigers

Candelario is out with left wrist tendonitis. An MRI came back clean. The Tigers put him on the DL to give him more rest since the wrist has been an issue all season.

2B Robinson Cano, Seattle Mariners

Cano has a fifth metacarpal bone fracture in his right hand after being hit by a pitch Sunday. He is out indefinitely.

C Jason Castro, Minnesota Twins

Castro will have surgery to repair a torn meniscus and will miss 4-6 weeks.

OF Lonnie Chisenhall, Cleveland Indians

Chisenhall is out with a right calf strain and resumed baseball activities last week.

SS Aledmys Diaz, Toronto Blue Jays

Diaz is on the DL with a left ankle sprain. He is expected to begin hitting this week.

3B Brandon Drury, New York Yankees

Drury was activated from the DL and optioned to Triple-A.

1B Lucas Duda, Kansas City Royals

Duda was placed on the 10-day DL with right foot plantar fasciitis.

OF Avisail Garcia, Chicago White Sox

Garcia is on the DL with a right hamstring strain.

SP Miguel Gonzalez, Chicago White Sox

He is on the DL with right rotator cuff inflammation and threw live batting practice last week.

OF Randal Grichuk, Toronto Blue Jays

Grichuk is out with a sprained PCL and started baseball activities last week.

OF Kevin Kiermaier, Tampa Bay Rays

Kiermaier has a torn ligament in his right thumb and is expected to miss 8-12 weeks.

OF Leonys Martin, Detroit Tigers

Martin is on the 10-day DL with a left hamstring strain and is expected to return Friday.

RP Keynan Middleton, Los Angeles Angels

Middleton was placed on the DL with right elbow discomfort.  He will get a second opinion.

SP Jordan Montgomery, New York Yankees

Montgomery is on the DL with a left elbow strain.

OF Tyler Naquin, Cleveland Indians

Naquin is on the 10-day DL with a left hamstring strain.

SP Daniel Norris, Detroit Tigers

Norris had groin surgery and is expected to miss 8-12 weeks.

RP Darren O’Day, Baltimore Orioles

O’Day is on the DL with a hyperextended right elbow.

2B Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox

Pedroia has been playing in extended spring training and began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Monday, going 1-for-3 with a run scored. He could return by the end of the month.

SP Martin Perez, Texas Rangers

Perez was placed on the 10-day DL with discomfort in his right elbow. He had surgery on the non-throwing elbow in December and played catch last week.

SP Carlos Rodon, Chicago White Sox

Rodon is working in extended spring training games and getting close to a rehab assignment.

3B Miguel Sano, Minnesota Twins

Sano is on the DL with a left hamstring strain and hasn’t made progress.

SP Ervin Santana, Minnesota Twins

Santana threw live batting practice Monday. He could be ready for extended spring training games next week. He is slated to return in mid-June.

SP Matt Shoemaker, Los Angeles Angels

Shoemaker is out with a forearm strain and experienced pain during a bullpen session last week. He will see a specialist this week.

SP Marcus Stroman, Toronto Blue Jays

Stroman is on the 10-day DL with right shoulder fatigue. He wasn’t pitching well and had shoulder inflammation in the off-season.

SP Jordan Zimmermann, Detroit Tigers

Zimmermann is on the 10-day DL with a right shoulder impingement. He will try to throw a bullpen later in the week. He played catch off flat ground on Monday.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

SP Chase Anderson, Milwaukee Brewers

Anderson is on the 10-day DL with an illness. He is eligible to be activated Sunday, but won’t start that day, but could be activated shortly after that.

SP Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco Giants

Bumgarner had left hand surgery in March and threw a bullpen session Monday and will face live hitters after that. He is expected to return in early June.

SS J.P. Crawford, Philadelphia Phillies

He landed on the DL with a strained right forearm. He fielded grounders and threw last week.

SP Johnny Cueto, San Francisco Giants

Cueto has right elbow inflammation and is expected to miss eight weeks. He was placed on the 60-day DL.

SP Zach Davies, Milwaukee Brewers

Davies is out with right rotator cuff inflammation.

OF Adam Eaton, Washington Nationals

Eaton had arthroscopic surgery to remove cartilage from his left ankle on May 10 and there is no timetable for his return.

3B Logan Forsythe, Los Angeles Dodgers

Forsythe is on the 10-day DL with right shoulder inflammation and is on a rehab assignment.

3B Todd Frazier, New York Mets

Frazier is on the DL with a left hamstring strain and could be activated when eligible this week.

2B Alen Hanson, San Francisco Giants

Hanson was placed on the DL with a left hamstring strain.

2B Josh Harrison, Pittsburgh Pirates

He has a fracture in the fifth metacarpal of the left hand and took batting practice last week.

C Austin Hedges, San Diego Padres

Hedges is out with right elbow tendonitis and is scheduled to play in extended spring training games this week.

OF Jason Heyward, Chicago Cubs

Heyward is on the 7-day DL with concussion symptoms and there is no timetable for his return.

SP Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles Dodgers

Kershaw is on the DL with left biceps tendonitis. An MRI revealed no structural damage.

3B Jake Lamb, Arizona Diamondbacks

Lamb is out with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder and went 1-for-5 with a double and two strikeouts Monday in his second rehab game with High-A. He is 1-for-8 in two games and is expected to return by the end of the month.

2B DJ LeMahieu, Colorado Rockies

He was placed on the 10-day DL with a left thumb sprain. If he needs surgery, he could miss 6-8 weeks.

RP Dominic Leone, St. Louis Cardinals

Leone is out with right upper arm nerve irritation.

SP Carlos Martinez, St. Louis Cardinals

Martinez is on the DL with a right lat strain.

SP Wade Miley, Milwaukee Brewers

Miley is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a right oblique strain.

C Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals

Molina had groin surgery and is expected to miss one month.

2B Daniel Murphy, Washington Nationals

Murphy is recovering from right knee microfracture surgery in October and did light running last week.

SP Joe Musgrove, Pittsburgh Pirates

Musgrove has been dealing with a sore shoulder since the spring and is on a rehab assignment.

OF Wil Myers, San Diego Padres

Myers is out with a left oblique strain and won’t return until June at the earliest.

2B Joe Panik, San Francisco Giants

Panik was placed on the 10-day DL with a sprained left thumb. He had surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will miss six weeks.

OF Hunter Pence, San Francisco Giants

Pence is on the DL with a sprained right thumb and is on a rehab assignment.

OF A.J. Pollock, Arizona Diamondbacks

Pollock left Monday’s game with a sprained left thumb. He injured the thumb attempting to make a diving catch. He will see a hand specialist Tuesday.

SP Robbie Ray, Arizona Diamondbacks

Ray is on the DL with a right oblique strain. He threw from 90 feet on Monday. He is still a few weeks away from a return.

OF Hunter Renfroe, San Diego Padres

Renfroe is on the DL with right elbow inflammation and is expected to begin a rehab assignment this week.

SP Alex Reyes, St. Louis Cardinals

Reyes allowed one hit, two walks and struck out 12 in five scoreless innings in a rehab start at Low-A Peoria on Monday. He will pitch at Double-A Springfield in his next start. He could return at the end of the month.

SP Hyun-Jin Ryu, Los Angeles Dodgers

Ryu tore the groin muscle off the bone and is expected to be back after the All-Star break.

SS Dansby Swanson, Atlanta Braves

Swanson is on the 10-day DL with left wrist soreness.

1B Eric Thames, Milwaukee Brewers

He had surgery to repair a torn UCL in his left thumb and is expected to return in late June.

SP Adam Wainwright, St. Louis Cardinals

Wainwright came back from the DL and left the start early with right elbow inflammation. He is likely heading to the DL.

C Matt Wieters, Washington Nationals

Wieters is on the DL with a left hamstring strain.

OF Mac Williamson, San Francisco Giants

He was placed on the 7-day DL with concussion symptoms.

1B Ryan Zimmerman, Washington Nationals

Zimmerman is on the DL with back soreness.
