Check out the biggest Fantasy Football implications from Thursday and Friday's NFL Preseason Week 2 contests!

Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Eagles

There were two players we wanted to see in this one that were showcased by Philly. There were running back Miles Sanders and wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Sanders carried the ball five times for 31 yards to average a team-high 6.2 yards per carry outperforming Jordan Howard who totaled just 15 yards on four carries and failed to bring in his only target. Arcega-Whiteside saw a team-high seven targets but only managed to catch two of them for 20 yards.

Jaguars

The Jags really didn’t play anybody worth mentioning in this one. It was backup quarterbacks throwing to backup wide receivers and they only rushed for 59 total yards. Hopefully in next week’s dress rehearsal we get a better look at their running backs and maybe Dede Westbrook will be able to get on the field.

New York Jets @ Atlanta Falcons

Jets

Ty Montgomery looked like the team’s most dynamic player in this one. He carried the ball seven times for 36 yards and a touchdown while Elijah McGuire managed just 14 yards on five carries. It’s looking like McGuire’s roster spot is in serious jeopardy. He could be a factor elsewhere this year though. Robby Anderson also looked good catching all three of his targets for 32 yards with limited work. In injury news, the Jets lost linebacker Avery Williamson for the season to a torn ACL.

Falcons

Matt Ryan was efficient in this one completing 10 of 14 attempts while Matt Simms looked miserable behind him. Qadree Ollison was the leader in the backfield with nine carries for 44 yards far outperforming anyone else on the ground. However, Ito Smith to punch in a TD and grab all three of his targets for 45 yards.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Washington Redskins

Bengals

The story in this one was quarterback Ryan Finley possibly knocking Jeff Driskel right off the roster. Finley got a ton of run in this one and completed an impressive 20 of 26 passes for 150 yards and two TDs. Damion Willis was the lead receiver catching all five of his targets for 59 yards. Jordan Ellis headed the backfield with 15 carries for 52 yards. Following the game offensive guard Christian Westerman retired from the NFL.

Redskins

Dwayne Haskins may have won the starting job here. He went 7 of 14 for 114 yards with a beautiful 55-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Robert Davis. Adrian Peterson also had a solid outing carrying the ball four times for 31 yards at 7.8 YPC.

Green Bay Packers @ Baltimore Ravens

Packers

There wasn’t a whole lot of consequence for the Packers here. The receivers played well. Allen Lazard caught three passes for 63 yards, Jake Kumerow hauled in three for 52 and Geronimo Allison grabbed two for 29. Equanimeous St. Brown also managed to make it on to the field despite battling an injury this week, so that was good to see even though he didn’t catch his lone target.

Ravens

Justice Hill was the player to watch in this one and he played well. Hill carried the ball 10 times for 49 yards and a TD. Watching him run was much more impressive than his numbers show. Wideout Chris Moore also had himself a nice game catching all four of his targets for 54 yards and a touchdown. Lamar Jackson completed more than half his passes going 6 of 10 for 58 yards so that’s an accomplishment for him too.

3 Experts Promo

Oakland Raiders @ Arizona Cardinals

Raiders

Unless you need more Nathan Peterman in your life, who continued his preseason dominance from last year going 8 of 8, the only player to watch for the Raiders was Josh Jacobs. He had a solid showing rushing four times for 21 yards. Aside from that there wasn’t much of Fantasy relevancy.

Cardinals

Kyler Murray was no Peterman. He struggled mightily completing just 3 of 8 passes for 12 yards. He also had two false start penalties from clapping before the snap. This may slow down his quickly rising ADP (which you can keep track of with our Average Draft Position tool.)  Rookie wideout Andy Isabella caught one of his four targets, but it went for 59 yards and a touchdown.

Buffalo Bills @ Carolina Panthers

Bills

Buffalo Bills QB Josh AllenJosh Allen completed 9 of 11 attempts for 102 yards, he’s another guy that a decent completion percentage is an accomplishment in itself. We got another limited look at rookie rusher Devin Singletary who did not impress on the ground taking his two carries for six yards. Again though, it was a very limited sample size. He did however catch three passes for 25 yards. LeSean McCoy got some work too managing just six yards on four carries but scored a touchdown.

Panthers

We got to see the battle to be Christian McCaffrey’s backup in this one. No one really ran away with it to say the least. Jordan Scarlett led the team with eight carries for 35 yards, while Cameron Artis-Payne was slightly more efficient reaching 18 yards on four carries. Elijah Holyfield had just three carries but managed 17 yards. Scarlett added a reception for 14 yards and Holyfield three for seven yards. None of them looked bad, nevertheless, it wasn’t exactly a rushing clinic either.

Chicago Bears @ New York Giants

Bears

There is almost nothing to note on the Bears as they were apparently holding out all their meaningful players for next week. Riley Ridley played and caught three passes for 19 yards and that’s your Fantasy highlight.

Giants

There was plenty to note for the Giants and it’s all about their quarterback competition which is heating up. Jones did a lot of things this week to impress building off last week’s solid performance. He completed 11 of 14 passes for 161 yards and a TD. However, he also lost two fumbles in this one and we know coaches hate turnovers. Eli Manning also went 4 of 4 with a touchdown but we already know what he is. Jones could push for this starting job and I’d be shocked if he doesn’t take over at some point this year.

Miami Dolphins @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Dolphins

Neither Josh Rosen nor Ryan Fitzpatrick looked great in this barn burner. However, Rosen looked much better, however, Fitzpatrick had almost no time to throw behind the backup line. Rosen was under fire as well but not nearly as bad. By the numbers Rosen was 10 of 18 for 102 yards. Not terrible. Although, he had a terrible would be interception dropped and under threw Isaiah Ford on fourth down in the end zone. Camp standout Preston Williams didn’t help matters catching just one of his six targets for seven yards with two drops. He almost had an incredible touchdown, unfortunately, his toe stepped just out of bounds prior to making the catch. Fitzpatrick went just 3 of 9 for 20 yards and looked bad doing it.

Bucs

The Bucs were showcasing rookie running back Dare Ogunbowale in this one. He didn’t look bad either considering the Dolphins defensive line was consistently beating the Bucs O-line. He carried the ball 13 times for 34 yards but had a few nice runs called back for holding. He also caught three passes for 54 yards including a 41-yard screen. The young wideouts played well too. Tanner Hudson caught six of seven targets for 93 yards and a TD. Bobo Wilson caught two of seven targets for 48 yards but should have had much more if the quarterbacks could have gotten him the ball.
